Malee Ojua is the founder and CEO of Sacred Fire Creative, a Portland-based digital marketing agency. Since starting her company, Malee has met many women business owners who felt stuck and were searching for ways to move forward. They may have big ideas for their businesses or for serving their communities, but they often don’t know where to begin.

 

Many of these women struggled because they didn’t feel seen, heard, or supported. In many cases, Malee discovered that behind their challenges was a deeper story of unbelonging.

 

As an Asian American of mixed heritage, Malee has also experienced moments of unbelonging throughout her life. Through the Okina Community, she hopes to create a safe and loving space where women business owners can find belonging, support, and inspiration—empowering themselves and others.
